Hi, I’m Harjeet. Thank you for visiting my profile and exploring the possibility to connect with each other. I’ve been working in the field of Social Work for 20+ years. I’ve had the privilege to work with people from many walks of life, across a broad range of concerns, including, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, intimate partner violence, relationship concerns, and social inequities. Co-creating peaceful, collaborative and respectful connections are important in my practice. I use many approaches, but specialize in Narrative therapy.

I am a woman of colour and my life's work has focused on how we can co-create more social justice in our society. Sometimes, achieving our dreams may be affected by systemic oppression such as racism, colonialism, cis-heteropatriarchy, homophobia, transphobia, and capitalism. I am dedicated to exploring these areas if they emerge in our work together.

I will work with you to witness your journey and co-create new stories that support your hopes, dreams and goals. There is no one size fits all. I am dedicated to exploring changes in ways that are meaningful to you. I believe we are creative, holistic beings, who can access many ways of creating changes in our lives.

Psychotherapy Practice:

I’ve been working in the field of Social Work for 20+ years. I’ve had the privilege to work with people from many walks of life, across a broad range of concerns, including, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, intimate partner violence, relationship concerns, and social inequities. Co-creating peaceful, collaborative and respectful connections are important in my practice. I use many approaches: relational therapy, emotion focused approaches and specialize in Narrative therapy. I am a woman of colour and my life’s work has focused on how we can co-create more social justice in our society. Sometimes, achieving our dreams may be affected by systemic oppression such as racism, colonialism, cis-heteropatriarchy, homophobia, transphobia, and capitalism. I have experienced and witnessed how dominant systems in our world can invite us to experience doubt, fear, loneliness and hurt. And sometimes, social injustices and systemic oppression can impose identity conclusions that do not serve our lives and may leave us feeling isolated and disconnected. I am dedicated to exploring these areas if they emerge in our work together.

Change rarely occurs in one giant step. Sometimes, the desired shifts take place in every day moments, a change in perspective, a conversation, and practices that will hopefully draw us closer to the communities we love, where we may feel more connected to and in alignment with our values. I am committed to exploring what types of changes are meaningful to you. I will work with you to witness your journey and co-create new stories that support your hopes, dreams and goals. There is no one size fits all. I am dedicated to exploring changes in ways that are meaningful to you. Sometimes these can include art-based understandings, spiritual and non-spiritual practices, and many forms of creative expression. I believe we are creative, holistic beings, who can access many ways of creating changes in our lives.
